Let's start with more nice scans courtesy of Diana:

Here is Hedy Lamarr looking stunning, in Ziegfeld Girl (1941), courtesy of Brenda.

We have no idea what's going on in this Bette Davis photo, but we thought it only fitting to publish it anyway.  Thanks to Rikke for this scan.

Let's finish with a still from the classic film, The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), featuring Myrna Loy and Teresa Wright.  It was sent to us by Peter.

Michelle and Sarah have restored a photo of tragic 1930s actress Dorothy Dell, who was killed in an automobile accident at age 19 in Altadena, California.  She completed only four films.  Thanks to Rikke who provided the scan.

Yvonne De Carlo offers a sandy greeting, in Slave Girl (1947).

Enjoy this picture of lovely Jeanne Crain.

Next, more jewels from Diana:

Brenda sent us a charming still of Veronica Lake, Mona Freeman, and Mary Hatcher pestering Billy De Wolfe, in Isn't it Romantic? (1948).

Peter concludes the proceedings with nice scans of Yvonne De Carlo and Romy Schneider.

Thanks to Sarah for identifying an existing Sophia Loren picture from Scandal in Sorrento (1955).

We have several sensational photos today, courtesy of Diana.  We hope you enjoy them!

An early photo of pretty Ann Sothern starts us off right today.  Thanks to Sarah and Michelle for restoring it so nicely.

Here is another picture of tennis players Jeanne Cagney and William Holden.

Next up, we have two beautiful images of superstar Rita Hayworth, sent to us by Brenda.

Oliver Hardy waits for a cool breeze to waft in while he studies his lines in Bonnie Scotland (1935).

Poolside cutie Claudia Cardinale just won't take a dip, in this photo from Vladimir.

Enjoy this shot of Jean Arthur, courtesy of Peter.  She's one of my three favorite squeaky-voiced actresses (the other two are June Allyson and Una Merkel).

When push comes to shove, Eve Arden, Eleanor Parker, and Ronald Reagan know how to mix it up, in The Voice of the Turtle (1947).

Peter returns to conclude the proceedings today with a lovely photo of Ginger Rogers in Magnificent Doll (1947).

March 15, 2013

Here is a pretty shot of Gloria DeHaven, courtesy of Rikke and restored by Michelle and Sarah.

Enjoy some horror film stills, courtesy of David:

Michelle and Sarah restored a nice photo of Ellen Drew to start things off today.  Thanks to Rikke for providing the scan.

Peter never fails to delight, as these color portraits demonstrate:

Here's Joan Fontaine, pondering life in You Gotta Stay Happy (1948).

Betty Jewell tells Gary Cooper where to find his missing bullet, in Arizona Bound (1927).

Kay Francis and Clive Brook lock eyes in Scandal Sheet (1931).

We end with a still from The Doorway to Hell (1930), with James Cagney, Lew Ayres, and Dorothy Matthews.  This is for MJC.
