Here are two Harold Lloyd scans.  We thought the first picture was from The Freshman, since he seems to be wearing a football helmet, but it's from an earlier film.  The second still is from Grandma's Boy.  Thanks to Annette for help with these pictures.

Lots of tantalizing goodies today...

Let's start off with another Grace Kelly picture (photographer Virgil Apger) from Jane.  Jane also corrected one of our exiting Grace Kelly scans as being from The Country Girl (see the new movie summary), and provided a new, improved version.  Thanks, kiddo!

Jane continues the onslaught with:

Right out of the starting gate, Jane's got another Grace Kelly scan, from High Society (with a new movie summary).  She also submitted three more James Dean images.

Sylvie has sent us a new desktop wallpaper featuring Buster Keaton.

Next, we have a photo of Joan Crawford in a still from The Women, sent in by Mal.  There are also a movie summary and film clip.   Also look for Rosalind Russell and Norma Shearer.  This is a scene in a high-end department store that concludes just as fireworks are about to start between Ms. Crawford and Ms. Shearer.  Enjoy!  [P.S.  Does anyone know the name of the actress playing the saleslady with Ms. Crawford?]

The Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra, debuts today.  We have three pictures of Old Blue Eyes early in his career, plus some songs.

Sever submitted two nice pictures today:  Errol Flynn in Captain Blood, and a group shot of Lauren Bacall, Jimmy Durante, and Humphrey Bogart.  He also identified one of our Gregory Peck pictures from Duel in the Sun.  Thanks, Sever!

Nick and Jane wired a new Ziegfeld Girl to us.

Nick and Jane had one more Ziegfeld Girl up their sleeves...so here we have Marion Benda!  The photographer was Alfred Cheney Johnston.  Also, Robert and Jane identified two of the girls as Dorothy Sebastian, so we've moved them to her dedicated page.

Today, we add a new Gene Kelly picture from On the Town, plus a movie summary.  We also have two film clips:  1) fasten your seatbelts as we showcase Ann Miller's museum dancing; and 2) an ensemble musical number on the streets of New York.  In the first clip look for Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Jules Munshin, Betty Garrett, and Ann Miller; in the second, Vera-Ellen joins the party.

Here's a nice scan of early 1930's actress June Collyer.  She was married to Stu Erwin, and was the sister of Bud Collyer (host of TV's Beat the Clock).

Alberto has added a touch of color to one of our Greta Garbo scans.  Perfect!

Next, Jane has provided three scans of Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday, plus a photo of Ingrid Bergman in Gaslight.

We decided we'd throw in another picture from Gaslight, and one of Lya Lys in Luis Buñuel's 1930 surrealistic L'Âge d'or (The Golden Age), both courtesy of Mal.  Check out the new movie summary.

Greet sparkling chanteuse Alice Faye.  Here are three new scans of this popular 1930's and 40's star.  The third one was taken by photographer George Hurrell in 1932.
