Sever weighs in with two beautiful scans of
Spencer Tracy and
Katharine Hepburn from 1949's
Adam's Rib (we have a new
movie summary), and a great scan of
William Powell and Nat
Pendleton from
The Great Ziegfeld. We appreciate these, Sever!
We also have two film clips from
Arsenic and Old Lace that
accompany the two pictures we posted on February 8. The first has
Cary Grant and
Priscilla Lane trying to get
a marriage license unobtrusively. The second clip contains all the
elements of our photo of
Priscilla Lane with the two
aunts (which didn't occur in the movie), with everyone romping about (notice
the lace curtains, the chest under the window containing the body, and the
apparel the characters are wearing)―close enough. Enjoy! |

We've added a new movie summary and (count 'em) two film clips. The
first is a scene of her with Grady Sutton, Frank Sinatra, and

-
a photo from Billy Wilder's cold war comedy
gem,
One, Two, Three.
This movie is a treat, so we've thrown in a film clip of Cagney barking
orders near the end of the film. Staccato machine gun fire in
The Public Enemy, and a
rapid fire delivery 30 years later―what a guy!. We know this film
is a little late in his
career, but it's just too good to pass up. There's also a movie
summary. Enjoy!
-
a scan from
Angels With Dirty Faces,
with
Ann Sheridan.
And here are some great Ziegfeld/actress scans

We've reorganized the
Galleries page to reflect the growing number of actors and
actresses featured on our site. We've moved the separate Annex table
of contents into the main Galleries page, so individuals are listed just
once.
Don't worry, we haven't removed any
pictures―we've just consolidated the list of actors and actresses onto one
page.
Since we plan to add hundreds of new actors and
actresses over time, we'll eventually need to create separate table of
contents pages, alphabetically by last name. For now, we're listing
them all on one page.
Please let us know of any incorrect links on the
new
Galleries page.
We'll post some new scans later today.
